My first ever job, was working in the Moss Motors warehouse. At the ripe old age of 15, my mom had to drive me to work. In those days, I could not have told you the difference between an MGA and an Austin Healey.
Lacking an education, good sense, or other marketable skills, in 1982 I was sent to New Jersey to open Moss Motors’ first east coast warehouse. After returning to California, a chance invitation to see the new Macintosh computer perform type setting and page composition led to a change in personal direction.
By the early 1990s I had transitioned from warehouse operations to marketing. With my business partner, Glen Adams, in 1998 we bought the company. To keep me from casually wrecking lives, eventually I was kicked upstairs to the position of Chairman of the Board.
The British Sports Car Hall of Fame is a natural extension of the British car hobby. My goal as a board member is to help steer the organization toward reasonable, achievable goals, while celebrating all that is best about our legacy as British car owners and operators.
